A wedding ring or wedding band consists of a precious metal ring, usually worn on the base of the left ring finger – the fourth finger (counting from the thumb) of the left hand. In some parts of the world, it is worn on the right ring finger.
You maybe wonder about the reason why the wedding is put on the fourth finger.
Put both palm of your hands to face each other and let each finger from right and left hand meet each other, after that bend both of your third fingers to the inside (see the image)Now...the game is starting .. Do the next step for the remaining 4 fingers (thumb, index finger, ring finger and last finger). Try to separate or making gap between each finger and do this one by one.. starting from first finger to last finger, you will find something amazing... the only finger that can't be separated from each other is the fourth finger or ring finger
Our fingers represent our family
Thumb represent parents
Second finger represent brothers & sisters
Centre finger represent own self
Fourth finger represent your partner
Last finger represent your children
Fourth finger is chosen as the finger for the wedding ring with the same expectation so both of couple will not be separated as real love that will stick together ever and forever.
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. (Genesis 2:24)
